Thrift Taco is an East London food brand serving chef-driven Mexican food from our residencies at Howl at the Moon and Great Beyond Brewing. We focus on great ingredients, housemade sauces, strong cooking and creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere without taking ourselves too seriously.
We're looking for a Saucier / Prep Cook to support our growing kitchen operation.
This role is focused on sauces, production and prep. It would suit someone who enjoys organisation, consistency and helping set service up for success.
Important: This role is primarily weekday prep work based at our Hoxton kitchen. Applicants should expect to work regular morning and daytime shifts between Monday and Thursday. This is not an evenings and weekends role.
Typical hours are expected to be approximately 4–16 hours per week depending on business needs and your availability.
What you'll do:
- Prepare house sauces and salsas
- Support prep across proteins, vegetables and service ingredients
- Maintain consistency and quality standards
- Help organise prep lists and production
- Receive and organise deliveries when required
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Support kitchen systems as the business grows

Experience making sauces, dressings, stocks, emulsions, ferments or similar preparations in a professional kitchen is strongly preferred.
Experience in pubs, casual dining, street food, independent restaurants or production kitchens is particularly relevant.
