Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance monitoring
- Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and cleanliness
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste
- Assist in serving customers when required, ensuring excellent service standards are upheld
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive working environment
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
- Passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality management are desirable but not essential
