Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding various metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Operate MIG welding equipment to assemble and fabricate metal structures and components.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to accurately produce components.
- Conduct quality checks on welded joints and fabricated parts to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the assembly of finished products, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Troubleshoot welding issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding techniques.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication processes involving sheet metal and the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to assembly processes and metalworking industries.
- Ability to perform basic maths calculations for measurements, tolerances, and material estimations.
- Familiarity with reading technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics is highly desirable.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or workshop environment is preferred but not essential for highly motivated candidates willing to learn.
Pay: £12.21-£16.00 per hour
