Job Overview
The Baytree Hotel is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Full-Time Seasonal Bar Person to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, handling guest enquiries, and contributing to an outstanding guest experience throughout the hotel.
This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is flexible in meeting the demands of a busy tourist season.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with licensing regulations and hotel standards.
- Deliver excellent customer service to hotel guests and visitors.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the till system.
- Respond to guest enquiries regarding hotel facilities, services, dining options, and local attractions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware, equipment, and seating areas.
- Replenish stock levels and assist with stock rotation and inventory checks.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, and licensing regulations.
- Assist with the setup and service of functions, events, weddings, and special occasions.
- Process customer payments and maintain accurate records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across all hotel departments to ensure a high standard of guest service.
- Provide support to other hotels within the group as required to meet operational needs.
- Be willing to work occasional shifts at the group's other hotel properties, subject to business requirements and reasonable notice.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Flexibility Requirement
As part of a hotel group, the successful candidate may be required from time to time to work at the other hotels within the group to provide operational support during busy periods, staff absences, special events, or seasonal demand.
