Kitchen Team – The Lions’ Den City Centre
We’re looking for passionate Kitchen Team Members. The Lions’ Den is now open in the heart of the city - complete with our café, sauna spaces, and the relaxed, welcoming energy we’re known for.
This is a hands-on role for someone with baking and service experience who loves fresh, nourishing food and enjoys helping a kitchen run smoothly and consistently.
What You’ll Do
- Support day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
- Support menu delivery by following recipe specs, prep systems, and portion controls.
- Support stock rotation, waste reduction, and day-to-day kitchen organisation.
- Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and Front of House team to ensure smooth service and clear communication.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and positive kitchen environment at all times.
- Support flexible service hours — the kitchen is open all day with shifts generally being between 6am and 8pm. Availability is required across evenings and weekends.
- Support our evolving menu, which includes light food service for lunch and brunch, counter items such as cakes and pastries, salads, wholesome and hearty bowls like soups and curries, and seasonal specials
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a café or kitchen environment, or a genuine enthusiasm for food and learning.
- A calm, team-focused approach — someone who enjoys working in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
- Pride in presentation and an eye for detail.
- Reliability, good communication, and willingness to get stuck in.
- Interest in healthy, seasonal, nourishing dishes.
Why Join The Lions’ Den
The Lions’ Den is more than a café - it’s a community built around connection, calm, and good energy. You’ll be part of an independent business that values creativity, wellbeing, and people.
We’ll give you the freedom to bring your ideas to life, alongside genuine support from an experienced team. You’ll also enjoy 8 free sauna sessions a month to share with family or friends - a little reminder to look after yourself, too.
