Operating from our purpose-built headquarters in East Kirkby, we also provide a trusted 24-hour dangerous structure response service for local authorities across Lincolnshire. With our own fabrication workshop, paint facilities, laser cutting capabilities and experienced site teams, we deliver complete projects from concept through to completion.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and organised Junior Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in project management while working alongside our Directors and CAD Design team, gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of construction and engineering projects.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Directors, you will support the successful delivery of projects from initial enquiry through to completion. Working closely with our CAD Designer, fabrication workshop, site teams, suppliers and clients, you'll help coordinate every stage of the project lifecycle, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.
This role offers significant responsibility, variety and the opportunity to learn from an experienced management team.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
o Assist in managing multiple live projects from start to completion.
o Support Directors with planning, scheduling and project delivery.
o Monitor project progress and help ensure key milestones are achieved.
o Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
Design & Technical Support
o Work closely with the CAD Designer to coordinate drawings and technical information.
o Review drawings before issue to ensure they meet project requirements.
o Liaise with fabrication and installation teams to ensure designs are understood and delivered correctly.
o Help coordinate design revisions and client approvals.
Client & Supplier Communication
o Build positive relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
o Assist in organising site meetings and project updates.
o Communicate project progress and resolve day-to-day issues.
o Coordinate material orders and delivery schedules.
Commercial & Planning Support
o Assist with procurement of materials and specialist services.
o Obtain quotations from suppliers where required.
o Support cost tracking and project budgeting.
o Help identify efficiencies to improve project delivery.
Site & Operational Support
o Coordinate with workshop and site teams to ensure materials and resources are available when needed.
o Visit sites as required to monitor progress and support project delivery.
o Ensure projects comply with Health & Safety and company quality standards.
General Responsibilities
o Provide administrative and operational support to the Directors.
o Help improve internal processes and project management systems.
o Develop strong technical knowledge across construction, steelwork and civil engineering projects.
o Take ownership of tasks and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and keen to build a long-term career in construction project management.
You'll ideally have:
· A qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related discipline (or relevant industry experience).
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Confidence using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new software.
· The ability to read or learn to interpret technical drawings.
· A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
· A full UK driving licence.
Previous experience in construction, engineering or manufacturing would be advantageous but is not essential. We're looking for the right attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to developing within the business.
