Job Title: STEM Engagement Specialist (Engagement Officer)
Reporting To: Head of Delivery
Contract Type: 1 x Permanent
Salary: £27,000 per annum

Location: Your place of work is Holly House, 74 Upper Holly Walk, CV32 4JL, Leamington Spa. This role requires regular travel across the UK and regular overnight stays.
Role Purpose:
To inspire and engage young people aged 9-18 in STEM by designing, delivering and evaluating high quality educational experiences across communities, schools, universities and digital platforms.
You will play a key role in ensuring safe, inclusive and impactful STEM engagement activities that encourage young people from all backgrounds to explore future pathways in STEM.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
1. Stem Day Delivery (Education and Community Settings)
· Project manage and deliver 2-3 STEM days per week during peak delivery periods.
· Facilitate hands on STEM activities for groups of young people in school settings, community spaces & overnight residentials.
· Ensure high quality delivery in line with organisational standards and funder requirements.
· Collect and submit evaluation data and feedback following each event.
· Communicate with teachers before and after delivery to ensure smooth coordination.
· Liaise with STEM Ambassadors and external facilitators supporting delivery.
· Conduct risk assessments and dynamic risk assessments for all events.
2. Content Development & Programme Improvement
· Support the development of new STEM engagement programmes and resources.
· Contribute to the design, testing and evaluation of new STEM activities and courses.
· Create supporting materials including videos, worksheets and digital resources.
· Review and improve existing programmes to ensure relevance, quality and impact.
· Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders during pilot phases.
3. Operational Delivery & Quality Assurance
· Ensure all event documentation (risk assessments, consent forms, feedback data) is completed accurately and submitted on time.
· Track and manage equipment and resources before and after delivery.
· Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes and cost efficiencies.
· Respond professionally to funders, sponsors, schools and partner organisations.
· Support wider programme team activity where required.

Person Specification
Essential
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Ability to engage and inspire young people
· Excellent organisational and project management skills
· Confident IT skills (including Microsoft Office)
Desirable
· Experience working with young people in education or outreach settings
· Experience working with young people in education or outreach settings
· Experience developing or delivering educational/ STEM content
· Experience in safeguarding awareness and practice within youth settings
· Background in education, outreach, engineering or STEM engagement delivery
· Degree in STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) or equivalent experience
For this role, all staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, including Barred List clearance, prior to commencing employment
