Labourer – Bricklaying Construction Site
Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team on a busy bricklaying construction site. The successful candidate will support bricklayers and site supervisors with a range of general labouring duties to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Duties
- Assisting bricklayers with day-to-day site tasks
- Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving bricks, blocks, mortar, and other construction materials around site
- Preparing mortar as required
- Keeping the site clean, tidy, and organised at all times
- Assisting with site preparation and setting up work areas for bricklaying activities
- Clearing debris, waste materials, and excess mortar from working areas
- Supporting with the safe storage and organisation of tools, equipment, and materials
- Carrying out general labouring duties as directed by site supervisors and tradespeople
- Assisting with deliveries and distributing materials to relevant work areas
- Following all site health and safety procedures and reporting any hazards immediately
Requirements
- Valid CSCS card is essential
- Previous experience working on a construction site is preferred
- Experience supporting bricklayers or working on bricklaying projects would be advantageous
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual labour, including lifting and moving materials
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good understanding of site health and safety practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions effectively
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist where needed
- Valid identification required for employment checks
