We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the restaurant team and take responsibility for the continued success and development of the business.
The Role
As General Manager, you will be the driving force behind the day-to-day operation of NORD. You will lead from the front, setting the standard for the entire team and creating an environment where outstanding hospitality, commercial performance and team development go hand in hand.
You will be service-led in your approach, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will understand that great hospitality starts with great people, and you will be responsible for creating a culture where the team feel supported, motivated and empowered to deliver their very best.

You will have overall responsibility for:
- Leading from the front and setting exceptionally high standards across the operation.
- Taking a service-led approach to every aspect of the guest experience.
- Providing inspirational leadership and creating a positive, high-performance team culture.
- Using exceptional people management skills to recruit, develop, coach and retain outstanding team members.
- Leading, motivating and developing the restaurant management and front-of-house teams.
- Ensuring consistently exceptional standards of service and hospitality.
- Taking ownership of the restaurant's financial and commercial performance.
- Driving sales, profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Managing labour costs, rotas and operational efficiencies.
- Maintaining excellent standards of food safety, health & safety and compliance.
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing talented team members.
- Building strong relationships across the wider business.
- Managing guest feedback and ensuring issues are resolved professionally and positively.
- Working closely with the kitchen and senior leadership teams to deliver a seamless operation.
- Supporting events, private dining and other commercial opportunities.
- Representing NORD professionally within Liverpool's hospitality community.
About You
We are looking for a confident, service-led and charismatic leader with proven experience managing a busy, quality-led restaurant.
You will be someone who naturally leads from the front — visible, engaged and actively involved in the operation. You will inspire confidence in your team, set clear expectations and have the emotional intelligence to get the very best from the people around you.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Restaurant Manager or Senior Operations Manager within a high-quality hospitality environment.
- Exceptional people management and leadership skills, with a proven ability to build, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- A genuinely service-led approach, with guest experience at the heart of your decision-making.
- A hands-on leadership style and the ability to lead by example.
- A strong understanding of restaurant operations and commercial management.
- A genuine passion for food, drink and exceptional service.
- Strong financial awareness, including labour, GP and cost control.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and decisive under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The confidence and presence to lead from the front during busy services.
- The ambition to develop both yourself and the people around you.
