Purpose of Post
- The Third in Charge supports the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where children can thrive.
Working within the Montessori approach and our outdoor learning ethos, you will promote child-led learning, independence, and exploration through meaningful indoor and outdoor experiences. You will lead by example, ensuring high standards of care, education, safeguarding, and wellbeing are maintained at all times.
You will support, mentor, and motivate the staff team, build positive relationships with children and families, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery. In the absence of the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, you will confidently oversee the daily operation of the setting, ensuring compliance with EYFS requirements, Montessori principles, and nursery policies.
This role is ideal for an experienced early years professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for Montessori education, and a commitment to creating enriching learning experiences both indoors and outdoors.
