This is a rare opportunity for a mechanically-biased maintenance engineer to join a company willing to support them in their electrical development. The engineering team, as well as management, can offer the hands-on, day-to-day shadowing and support, but even better, you will also recieve access to fully-funded external courses- for example, the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or Mech to Elec training!!
Additionally, the working hours are extremely sociable. You’ll be working Monday to Thursday days, with flexibility around your start time.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Mechanical & Pneumatic Care: Repairing and maintaining heavy machinery subsystems, focusing on clutches, brakes, feeds, and pneumatic circuits.
- Press Shop Machinery Management: Keeping high-speed, multi-slide, and heavy-tonnage press lines operating safely and efficiently under strict compliance standards.
- Preventative Asset Care: Executing a structured PPM program, logging data into the CMMS, and identifying potential component failures before they result in operational downtime.
- Site Infrastructure Oversight: Handling broader site services, from electrical infrastructure and compressed air distribution to managing external service contractors.
What We Are Looking For:
- Apprentice-trained or qualified Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or HNC/HND equivalent)
- Strong cross-functional mechanical and pneumatic capabilities.
- Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing machinery and responding to reactive breakdowns.
- Experience with heavy stamping infrastructure, high-speed press platforms, or advanced machinery guarding standards (PUWER) will give your application a significant advantage.
