Join our dedicated team at Cynd residential homes as a Residential Support Worker in Children’s Home Care, specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities (LD). Duties
- Deliver high-quality care tailored to each child's needs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.
- Assist children with daily routines such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and recreational activities.
- Implement and follow detailed care plans designed by professionals to support emotional, behavioral, and developmental goals.
- Support children in developing social skills and independence through engaging activities and positive reinforcement.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and progress reports using IT systems efficiently.
- Promote a calm and structured environment by managing challenging behaviors with patience and understanding.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children or young people in childcare settings or similar environments.
- Knowledge of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with children, families, and team members.
- Valid driving license preferred for transporting children or attending external appointments.
- Familiarity with IT tools for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and empathy.
