Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial van to deliver goods to multiple locations according to scheduled routes
- Load and unload cargo with attention to proper handling and heavy lifting requirements
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation for each shipment
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every journey
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory checks or organizing shipments when needed
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience with a clean driving record
- Prior experience operating vans or similar commercial vehicles in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of local routes, traffic patterns, and delivery procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members and customers
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus but not required; training will be provided for specific duties
