Role Overview
We are looking for a reliable, patient and caring female driver to transport an adult safely from their home to a day centre each morning and return them home in the evening.
The successful applicant must be confident driving a manual vehicle and able to provide respectful reassurance and practical support throughout each journey.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect the individual from their home at the agreed morning time.
- Transport them safely to the day centre.
- Collect them from the day centre in the evening and return them home safely.
- Support the individual to enter and leave the vehicle safely.
- Ensure the passenger wears their seat belt throughout the journey.
- Provide reassurance and communicate in a calm, respectful manner.
- Follow the individual’s care plan, risk assessment and transport instructions.
- Report any concerns, incidents, delays or changes in the individual’s wellbeing promptly.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
- Keep the vehicle clean, safe and suitable for transporting the individual.
- Complete any required journey records or care notes accurately.
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety, lone-working and infection-control procedures.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Confident and safe driving a manual vehicle.
- Reliable and punctual, with availability for both morning and evening journeys.
- Patient, respectful and able to support an adult who may require reassurance.
- Good communication skills.
- Understanding of confidentiality, dignity and safeguarding.
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Able to provide satisfactory employment references.
Working Hours
This is a split-shift role, Monday to Friday:
- Morning: Approximately 9am - 10.30am
- Evening: Approximately 15.45pm- 18.00pm
- The driver must be available for both journeys on the agreed working days.
Vehicle Arrangements
The successful applicant will drive a manual vehicle provided by the employer.

Work Location: In person
