Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to provide high-quality in-home care services to clients in their own residences. The ideal candidate will support individuals with a range of needs, including elderly care, dementia, and chronic health conditions. The position involves assisting clients with daily activities, medication management, and promoting independence within their homes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care plans tailored to each client’s needs, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide specialised care for clients with dementia, or other cognitive impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication accurately in accordance with prescribed instructions and document all relevant information diligently.
- Support with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional requirements are met and dietary restrictions are adhered to.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness.
- Support clients with mobility issues through safe transfer techniques and the use of mobility aids when necessary.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, maintaining safe driving practices.
- Manage behaviour effectively through patience and behaviour management techniques, especially when caring for individuals with behavioural challenges related to dementia or other conditions.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent needs using first aid skills when required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home settings, or home care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and behaviour management strategies.
- Experience caring for individuals with , dementia, or hospice needs is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and their families.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight as required.
- First aid certification is beneficial but not essential; training can be provided if necessary.

Pay: £14.00-£17.00 per hour
