Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, learning sessions, outdoor activities, and meal times to ensure safety at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support individual needs and developmental progress
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that adheres to health and safety regulations
- Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership skills to foster teamwork among staff members
- Support children’s transition into the childcare setting through gentle guidance and encouragement
- Keep detailed records of children’s progress, attendance, and any incidents or concerns
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in childcare or nursery settings
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear interaction with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy and enthusiasm
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for the role
- Experience working in nursery environments or similar early childhood education settings is highly desirable
Pay: £25,420.00-£49,073.41 per year
