Job Summary: Kiwa UK is looking for a Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team. You'll play a key role in supporting audit, risk and compliance activities across the business, helping to maintain effective controls, meet regulatory requirements and embed compliance into day-to-day operations. This is a remote UK based role. About the role:
- Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits, from planning and evidence gathering through to remediation and closure.
- Lead the annual external audit cycle, ensuring activities are completed on time and stakeholders remain informed and engaged.
- Maintain and support the internal control framework, ensuring it aligns with key business risks and objectives.
- Conduct and coordinate assessments of key controls, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Support control testing activities and the implementation of control improvements.
- Work with global colleagues to meet internal control and reporting requirements.
- Maintain records of audit findings and remediation actions, ensuring timely tracking and closure.
- Support compliance with data protection laws (including UK GDPR / EU GDPR), maintain records of processing activities (RoPA), support DPIAs, advise on data handling and assist with incident and DSAR management.

Support the organisation's ethics and compliance programme.
- Support anti-bribery and corruption risk management activities, including gifts and hospitality oversight, third-party risk considerations, training support, and issue escalation.
- Support competition law compliance through contract reviews, business guidance, and compliance checks.
- Support compliance with sanctions, export controls, and restricted party requirements, including screening and risk assessment activities.
- Manage and support third-party due diligence processes, including risk assessments, escalation, and ongoing monitoring.
- Support compliance monitoring activities and prepare reports, dashboards, and updates for management.
- Support the management of insurance arrangements, including policy administration, renewals, evidence of cover requests, and claims handling.
Do you have what it takes?:
- Experience in a compliance, legal, audit or regulatory role, preferably within a regulated or multinational environment.
- Degree‑level qualification, or equivalent experience, in law, compliance, risk or governance.

Strong understanding of data protection and privacy requirements in the UK and EU.

Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory risk.
- Clear and confident communicator with non‑legal stakeholders.
- Highly organised and comfortable managing audits and multiple workstreams.
- Pragmatic, proportionate and business‑focused approach to compliance.
- High standards of integrity and professional judgement.

Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work and reach targets set independently (Self Starting)

Willingness to travel frequently if and when needed
What can you expect from us in return?:
- £50,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday, UK remote role with occassional travel
