Due to continued growth and success, ASK Technology is looking for an experienced and detail-focused AOI PCB Inspector to join our established electronics manufacturing team in Basingstoke.

We welcome applications from candidates with previous AOI and PCB inspection experience, as well as those with a strong electronics or Surface Mount Assembly background who are looking to develop their skills. Full training and ongoing support will be provided from day one.
The Role
As an AOI PCB Inspector, you will play an important role in ensuring that PCB assemblies meet the required quality standards and customer specifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment to inspect PCB assemblies.
- Carrying out detailed visual and automated inspections of electronic assemblies.
- Identifying defects, faults and assembly issues accurately and efficiently.
- Making confident decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of PCB assemblies.
- Recording inspection results accurately and maintaining appropriate quality documentation.
- Operating production machinery, inspection equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Working closely with production and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain high standards.
- Following established inspection procedures, quality requirements and applicable industry standards.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment.
About You
We are looking for someone who is highly attentive to detail, quality-focused and able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous experience working with AOI equipment.
- Experience inspecting PCB assemblies.
- Previous experience within Surface Mount Assembly (SMT/SMA).
- A good understanding of electronics manufacturing and PCB inspection processes.
- An understanding of relevant inspection standards and quality requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- Confidence when making quality decisions, including accepting or rejecting assemblies.
- Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and management.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to remain focused and maintain high standards while working to deadlines.
