Salary: Up to £15,257 pro rata (£38,144 FTE - Subject to experience)
MK College Group have an exciting opportunity for a creative Music Lecturer to join the education team based at HMP Grendon on a part time basis. This position will provide an opportunity to develop a curriculum that complements the Therapeutic community at the prison. This role is ideal for someone with a strong music background and some teaching or learner‑facilitation experience, who is passionate about using music as a tool for personal development. This role would be working Part Time - 15 hours/wk, 3 x afternoons only - can be flexible which 3 days from Mon-Thurs. This is set due to the prison operating regime so we cannot flex on the working hours.
The programme will deliver Music skills, technology and appreciation to learners within the prison. The course is non-accredited with sessions will including embedded mini‑qualifications focused on personal and social development. You will engage with hard-to-reach learners, helping them to build confidence, communication and soft skills.
