Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service in a lively hospitality environment. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. All positions are paid, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry.
Duties
- Serve a variety of beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner
- Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Restock bar supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with patrons to create a welcoming environment
- Assist in setting up and clearing tables during busy periods
- Follow responsible serving practices, including recognising intoxication levels and managing difficult situations professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, food safety, or serving roles is advantageous but not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
- Good basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required
