Pick pack /workshop Operative
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Operative to join our team.
This role involves working within a warehouse and workshop environment, assisting with the packing and processing of reclaimed timber and garden furniture .
Operative will also be trained on auto cut saw and various machinery in the workshop
Duties
- Pick and packing of daily orders
- Operating a fully automated crosscut saw
- Grading and cutting reclaimed timber to required stock lengths
- cutting bulk packs of timber stock
- Sorting, storing and organising processed timber products
- Always maintaining a clean and safe working area
- Following all health and safety procedures, particularly when using machinery
Requirements for the role
Forklift experience ideal (not essential)
Previous experience in a similar role or working with wood/machinery is desirable (Not essential)
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good teamwork and reliability
Working Hours & Pay
7am - 3pm Monday to Friday ( Daily 30-minute unpaid break)
37.5 contracted permanent hours a week
£12.75 an hour with additional bonus available during periods of high production
