Manufacturing Labourer
The labourer plays a crucial role in the company, tasked with supporting manufacturing operations through general labour tasks, material handling, and occasional driving duties, with a commitment to safety.
This is very fast paced position where you will be busy from start to finish of day, completing a variety of tasks within the workshops and yards. This role is ideal for motivated individuals where there is room to advance within the company for the right person, with the correct skill set
Responsibilities and Duties:
- General labour tasks, including material handling, cleaning, and equipment preparation
- Load and unload materials, tools, and products safely and efficiently
- Support teams with tasks such as assembling, moving, or storing components
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop and storage areas
- Operate company vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from buildingsInspect and maintain vehicles regularly to ensure roadworthiness/compliance with regulation
- Aid and control goods in
- Assist with basic maintenance tasks and minor repair
- Work collaboratively with teams to meet operational targets
- Aid welders in any prep they require
- General Housekeeping of building
- Weekly checklist to be completed and any defects reported
- Check and report stock levels
- Clean machines and vehicles weekly
- Clear swarf
- Ensure yard kept tidy and all items working and in order
- Maintains safety protocols throughout the project by keeping their tools and equipment clean and working according to the requirement
- Follow all company and industry health and safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Valid UK driver’s license( fill in driving)
- Proven experience in a similar manufacturing labourer position
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy materials safely
- Forklift license or experience operating warehouse equipment
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Physical stamina to operate machinery and handle materials.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to challenges.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Labourer or similar role within construction or maintenance environments
- Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites
- Ability to operate basic tools and machinery safely (training provided if necessary)
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid relevant licences or certifications (e.g., CSCS card) are advantageous but not essential
Pay: £13.00-£17.00 per hour
