Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Help with serving food to customers or guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables or portioning ingredients for cooking
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all staff
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively within the kitchen team
- Prior experience with meal preparation and food safety practices is essential as you will be stepping into a fast paced busy environment.

- Must be able to commit to every Sunday 10-6pm and also be available on Thursday evenings, during busy periods at weekends, mid Nov-January for Christmas functions.
