About the Role
Old Oak Landscapes Ltd is looking for a skilled and experienced self-employed landscaper to join our team on a subcontract basis.
We undertake landscaping projects across the residential and commercial sectors for both private and public-sector clients. The work is varied and includes hard landscaping, soft landscaping and general external works.
We are a close team so looking for someone reliable is key, experienced and able to consistently complete work to a high professional standard.
Main Duties
The role will include:
- Laying porcelain paving
- Laying natural stone paving
- Installing block paving
- Ground preparation, levelling and setting out
- Preparing and laying turf
- Planting trees, shrubs and plants
- Installing timber sleepers, edging and raised beds
- General hard and soft landscaping
- Using landscaping tools, equipment and machinery
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Proven professional landscaping experience
- Strong paving experience, particularly porcelain and natural stone
- Experience with block paving, turfing, planting and sleeper installation
- Good knowledge of correct ground preparation and installation methods
- The ability to work accurately and achieve a high-quality finish
- Their own UTR number and the ability to work on a self-employed basis would be ideal but not essential.
- A reliable, hardworking and professional approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pick up the correct materials from merchants and managing deliveries on site
- Attention to detail on work is crucial
- A full UK driving licence
