We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across various commercial premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a professional environment, ensuring spaces are hygienic, safe, and welcoming for clients and staff alike. Prior experience in janitorial services or commercial cleaning is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, washrooms, and communal spaces
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and products to ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained
- Empty bins, dispose of waste responsibly, and replenish supplies such as soap and paper towels
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to minimise risks and maintain a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages identified during cleaning duties to management
- Maintain cleaning schedules and complete tasks within allocated timeframes
- Ensure all cleaning tasks adhere to company policies and client specifications
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability in completing assigned tasks on time
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- A positive attitude and professional approach when interacting with colleagues and clients
