In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the school premises are spotless, safe, and inviting for students, staff, and visitors alike. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas each morning before school begins
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust surfaces, and disinfect high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs
- Empty trash bins and replace liners to maintain a tidy environment
- Restock cleaning supplies and ensure all equipment is in good working order
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities to ensure accountability and consistency
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work, preferably within educational or similar environments
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in the early morning hours
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and proper usage procedures to ensure safety
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled hours
