Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll. In this role, you will manage payroll operations, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and support human resources functions related to employee payments. Your proactive approach and strong organizational skills will contribute to a seamless payroll experience for all staff members. This is an office based, part-time position. You must be able to work in a small team or alone and be comfortable with a large office dog.
Duties
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using Iris Payroll Professional
- Manage data entry tasks related to employee hours, wages, deductions, and benefits to ensure precise records.
- Maintain and update employee records within our systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with human resources to resolve payroll discrepancies and respond promptly to any inquiries.
Skills
- Proven experience working in payroll, minimum of five years.
- Experience with Teachers Pensions submissions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Excel, able to write and use formulae and macros.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good mental arithmetic and able to convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages.
- Analytical skills to interpret payroll data, identify discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
- Understanding of human resources policies related to compensation, benefits, and compliance regulations.
- Effective communication skills for assisting clients with payroll-related questions.
- Confident telephone manner.
