About RYSE 3D Ltd
RYSE 3D is a production-grade additive manufacturing company based in Warwickshire. Founded in 2017, we have produced over 2 million parts for clients in automotive, defence, and industrial sectors. We operate FDM (including carbon fibre composites), SLS, SLA, and MJF technologies from our 8,000 sq ft production facility.
RYSE 3D holds two King's Awards for Innovation and for International Trade. We are a serious production house, not a prototyping shop.
Role Overview
We need a capable FDM technician who can hit the ground running in a production environment. You will be operating industrial FDM machines, managing print schedules, carrying out post-processing, and maintaining quality standards. This role sits at the core of our production operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor industrial FDM machines throughout the production day
- Manage print queues and prioritise jobs to meet delivery deadlines
- Carry out post-processing including support removal, surface finishing and inspection
- Perform first-off and in-process quality checks against customer specifications
- Maintain machines — daily checks, basic maintenance, flagging issues
- Keep accurate production logs and report scrap or reprint activity
- Support the Head of FDM with process development and improvements
What We would like
- Hands-on experience operating industrial FDM printers in a production or bureau setting
- Familiarity with engineering-grade FDM materials (Nylon, PETG, PC, TPU, composites)
- Good understanding of print parameters and how to troubleshoot common FDM issues.
- Reliable, methodical and production-minded - you care about quality and throughput
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
- Experience with slicer software (Eiger, Simplify3D, PrusaSlicer or similar)
- Coding and electronics experience is a real advantage - if you’ve built, modified or tuned your own machines at home, we want to hear from you!
- Klipper firmware experience or familiarity with open-source printer ecosystems is a bonus
