We are looking for a Manufacturing Technical Co-ordinator to support the operation of MICM’s cutting-edge manufacturing and prototyping facility. The centre is now entering full mobilisation and now is an exciting time to join us!
What you’ll do:
- Operate and maintain equipment including 3D printers, collaborative robots, and digital tools
- Support demonstrations, workshops and training sessions for SME clients.
- Develop and maintain equipment manuals, safety guides and usage records.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and support day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Act as an ambassador for MICM, helping businesses adopt new technologies.
- Support the running of the centre if another team member is away
What we’re looking for:
- Practical experience with workshop machinery, fabrication tools or prototyping equipment.
- Strong technical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, clear language.
- Organised, detail-focused and committed to safe working practices.
- A flexible approach to working hours to meet the needs of the business and our clients, with occasional evening or weekend work where required.
It would be a bonus if you have:
- Studied or graduated in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, or similar or similar experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Experience delivering demonstrations or training with a good awareness of health & safety standards in workshop environments.
