Night Order Picker & Loader
Purpose of the Role
This role plays a key part in ensuring customer orders are picked accurately, loaded correctly, and prepared to the high standards expected at La Chasse. Working as part of the night team, you’ll help ensure deliveries leave the warehouse on time, safely, and ready for next-day service.
The role requires strong attention to detail, good organisation, and the ability to work positively within a close-knit team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking & Packing
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld and picking list
- Ensure products are packed safely and correctly for transport
- Work carefully to minimise picking errors and damages
- Maintain strong attention to detail throughout the shift
Loading & Dispatch
- Load delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Ensure vans are loaded in the correct route order where required
- Support the smooth preparation of deliveries for next-day dispatch
- Assist with end-of-shift checks and handovers
Warehouse Standards & Cleaning
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Complete daily cleaning and housekeeping tasks to a high standard
- Follow all company food safety and health & safety procedures
- Report any maintenance, safety or stock concerns promptly
Stock & Warehouse Preparation
- Assist with stock takes and inventory checks as required
- Support stock rotation and date checking procedures
- Replenish picking locations to ensure stock is available for the next shift
- Ensure stock is stored correctly within chilled, frozen and ambient areas
- Help prepare the warehouse for the following shift, leaving work areas organised, stocked and ready for efficient operation
Teamwork & Communication
- Work positively and professionally as part of the night team
- Support colleagues during busy periods and work collaboratively to complete the shift successfully
- Communicate clearly with team members and management
- Help maintain a positive and respectful working environment
What Success Looks Like
- Orders are picked accurately and loaded correctly
- Deliveries leave the warehouse on time and to a high standard
- Warehouse areas are left clean, organised and ready for the next shift
- Picking locations are replenished and stock is stored correctly
- Food safety and health & safety standards are consistently followed
- Team members work together positively and support each other throughout the shift
- A reliable, proactive and consistent approach is shown each night
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and dependable
- Ability to follow procedures and health & safety requirements
- Physically capable of carrying out manual handling duties
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible and willing to support a range of warehouse tasks as required
Working Hours
- Full time: Monday to Friday 10pm-6am

- Starting salary: £26,500 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
