The Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and parents to support pupil progress.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet a range of learning needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, SEMH, and Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties.
- Monitor, assess, and celebrate pupil progress while promoting independence and confidence.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs in either mainstream or specialist settings.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
