Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Head Kitchen Porter to lead our kitchen cleaning and support operations. Duties
- Oversee daily cleaning routines of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and storage spaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in basic cooking and ingredient handling.
- Manage dishwashing operations efficiently, ensuring all cookware, utensils, and tableware are sanitized and ready for use.
- Support the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations during service periods, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized.
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and report any equipment or supply shortages promptly.
- Follow health and safety regulations rigorously, including proper waste disposal and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and uphold hospitality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking processes, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
