Job Description
We’re looking for an Assistant General Manager to join our small, passionate team and help lead the bar day-to-day. You’ll work closely with the owner / general manager to lead service, shape events and menus, and support our small team.
It’s a hands-on role that combines front-of-house management and service with team management, and some admin, like stock takes and orders. This is ideal for someone who loves hospitality and takes pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment for guests and other team members.
What we’re offering:
- £30,000 salary (£28,000 basic + £2,000 performance related bonus) + tronc (approx. £5,000/year)
- Mostly evenings and weekends
- Often 2 days off together (Sunday & Monday)
- 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays (days in lieu of worked)

What we’re looking for:
- Confident, calm, and organised under pressure
- Great people skills - with guests and the team
- Previous supervisory or management experience in hospitality (2 years)
- Experience in events or handling private/corporate bookings preferred
- Enthusiastic about food and wine, with an eye for detail and quality
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
