Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented MOT Tester/Technician to join our dynamic automotive service team. Duties
- Perform MOT tests on a wide range of vehicles, adhering strictly to legal and safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections, including brakes, lights, suspension, emissions, and other key systems.
- Use hand tools and power tools to carry out repairs or adjustments identified during testing.
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed, including detailed reports on vehicle condition and test outcomes.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as replacing worn parts or performing minor repairs when necessary.
- Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and maintained regularly for optimal performance.
- Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle inspections or repairs.
- Excellent attention to detail to identify faults accurately during testing procedures.
- Good communication skills to explain findings clearly to customers or team members.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
