Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse to join our family run dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation within the clinic. We are currently looking for a part time Dental Nurse for 3 days a week Monday - Wednesday 8.30am -5pm. However depending on the candidate full time could be offered.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide excellent patient care, offering reassurance and support throughout treatments
- Maintain strict hygiene and sterilisation standards in line with health regulations
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality at all times
- Offer post-treatment advice and instructions to patients as directed by the dentist
- Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and patient correspondence
- Ensure the clinic remains organised, clean, and well-stocked with supplies
Skills
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care
- Proficiency in IT systems used for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate professional conduct at all times
- Good interpersonal skills to provide compassionate support to patients during their visits
