Support Worker – Complex Care
Location: Great Yarmouth
Contract: Zero-hours / flexible
Please note: Employment visa sponsorship is not available. Applicants must already have the unrestricted Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
We are recruiting reliable and flexible Support Workers to strengthen our complex-care teams across Great Yarmouth.
We support several people within the local area and currently have opportunities for additional regular and contingency Support Workers.
Rather than recruiting solely for one care package, we are particularly interested in people who may be suitable to work across more than one Great Yarmouth service according to their experience, availability and the individual requirements of each person supported.
This provides an opportunity to build greater flexibility into your working pattern while helping us maintain consistent support during annual leave, sickness and other staffing requirements.
THE ROLE
Depending on the service you are matched to, you will provide person-centred support within the community and work alongside established care teams.
You will be expected to:
- Build positive, consistent relationships with the people you support.
- Follow individual care and support plans and agreed ways of working.
- Provide reliable support across agreed shifts.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, families and operational teams.
- Complete accurate care records.
- Undertake any package-specific training and competency assessment required before working independently.
We are looking for people who are dependable, adaptable and comfortable working with different individuals and teams.
Previous health, social care or complex-care experience would be advantageous, but we are also interested in strong candidates who demonstrate the right values and can be appropriately trained and assessed.
Portuguese language skills would be particularly useful within one of our Great Yarmouth services, but this is desirable rather than essential.
Some packages may have additional individual requirements. These will be discussed transparently during screening and candidates will only be introduced to services where they are appropriately matched.
WHY JOIN OUR GREAT YARMOUTH TEAM?
- Opportunity to work across more than one local package where appropriate.
- Flexible working through our local care network.
- Potential to pick up additional sickness, annual leave and contingency shifts.
- Package-specific training and assessment.
- Opportunity to build consistent relationships with local care teams and the people we support.
All appointments are subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks, including identity and Right to Work verification, employment history and references, DBS checks and any relevant training or competency requirements.
If you're looking for flexible Support Worker opportunities in Great Yarmouth and would like the opportunity to work across local complex-care services, we'd like to hear from you.
