Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, adherence to safety standards, and efficient workflow.
Duties
- Set up CNC machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming parameters based on specifications.
- Operate CNC milling machines and other equipment to produce parts according to detailed drawings and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints, ensuring precise fabrication of components.
- Perform routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and measurement devices to verify accuracy.
- Adjust machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards and optimize production efficiency.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on CNC equipment, troubleshooting issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including loading raw materials and managing tooling inventory.
- Collaborate with team members on assembly processes and ensure proper documentation of production activities.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
Skills
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience with materials handling, tooling selection, and setup for milling operations.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively for adjustments and inspections.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machine issues.
- Warehouse experience is beneficial for understanding inventory management related to raw materials and tooling supplies.
