About the Role:
Liverpool is built on a proud industrial heritage, and at Industrial Support Co. Ltd., we bring that same strength and reliability to modern engineering services. We maintain, repair, and optimize machinery so local businesses stay running smoothly. We believe industrial maintenance should be precise, proactive, and problem-free. We are looking for a Field Maintenance Technician who can take ownership of our client sites across Merseyside. You aren't just fixing breakdowns; you are maintaining operational excellence. You will serve as the hands-on technical lead on-site, bridging the gap between heavy machinery and seamless client operations. You are the champion of safety and technical uptime on every job site.
Why Work With Us?
- The Environment: Our regional operations hub is strategically based in Liverpool. We support a dynamic range of client environments across the region, meaning no two days are ever the same.
- Engineering First: We don't need to be convinced that quality workmanship matters. We know it does. You will have the proper tools, clear backing, and full support to do the job right the first time.
- Modern Equipment: We invest in high-grade diagnostic tools and modern service vehicles so you can execute repairs safely and efficiently.
- Growth: You will have access to ongoing technical training, certifications, and skill development to keep your career moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Ownership: Perform preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and emergency repairs on industrial machinery across Merseyside.
- End-to-End Diagnostics: Lead the troubleshooting process from initial fault discovery to complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.
- Safety Leadership: Uphold rigorous UK Health & Safety standards, complete site risk assessments, and maintain zero-compromise safety practices.
- Data & Reporting: Complete accurate digital service reports and document parts used to ensure complete transparency for internal teams and clients.
- Client Management: Present your technical recommendations to client managers clearly. You can explain what caused an issue and how to prevent it, not just how you fixed it.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in industrial maintenance, field service, or electromechanical engineering roles.
- Certifications: A recognized technical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or completed apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering). A valid UK Driving Licence is essential.
- Tooling: Proficient with standard diagnostic equipment, hand/power tools, and reading engineering schematics.
- Communication Skills: Professional English communication for site visits, technical documentation, and direct client interactions.
- Mindset: You are pragmatic. You know how to troubleshoot under pressure, work safely, and deliver dependable results when client operations depend on you.
