West Berkshire Council is seeking a Team Leader - Occupational Therapist to work alongside our dedicated group of OT's to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to our local community.
About the Role
As Team Leader - Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for:

Leading and supporting a team of Occupational Therapists to ensure the effective delivery of assessment and intervention services
- Working collaboratively with the Locality Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Adult Social Care service
- Overseeing the allocation of referrals and ensuring timely and appropriate responses to individuals' needs
- Providing expert advice and guidance to both colleagues and service users
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and professional guidelines
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist
- Significant post-registration experience in an Occupational Therapy role, ideally within a social care setting
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership position, demonstrating the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to manage complex cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practice in relation to Occupational Therapy and social care
