We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Occupational Therapist who would enjoy working in a small friendly team dedicated to Occupational Therapy (OT) provision for Haringey Community Mental Health Services. The post holder will hold a case load and work as an Occupational Therapist across Haringey adult community mental health services, to provide assessment, plan and implement interventions, evaluate treatment and ensure safe discharge. They will offer time limited interventions with clear goals, using a recovery-focused approach that enhances daily living skills and supports engagement in meaningful and purposeful activities, for service users across the community. The occupational therapist will be deputy to the Lead and will mentor the Band 5 OT, whilst working closely with the supporting clinical team and offering clinical supervision to other junior staff in the MDT, including Employment Support.

In order to meet the needs of the Trust you may be required from time to time to work at different locations to your normal place of work. This may mean that you are required to work at any location that fall under Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey or Islington. The Trust reserves the right to require staff to work at such other places or locations as it considers reasonable and necessary on a temporary or permanent basis.
Manage a caseload of service users in the community and be key clinician for the service
Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions including groups and individual
Support people to develop daily living skills, independence, and meaningful activity
Supervise Band 5 OT, students and other junior staff members, offering support from an OT perspective
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
Contribute to recovery-focused care planning and safe discharge
Engage in community-based and home visit work
Be an active member of the community occupational therapy team within the borough and across the care group
Act as deputy to team lead when required, taking on some management tasks and attendance at senior clinical and network meetings
