Full-Time | Monday to Friday | Variable Hours Between 7:30am – 6:15pm

The Ark Experience is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Forest School Assistant to join our growing team and work alongside Forest Phil in delivering inspiring outdoor learning experiences for children.
About the Role
As a Forest School Assistant, you will support the planning and delivery of engaging outdoor sessions that encourage curiosity, confidence, resilience, and a love of nature. You'll help create memorable experiences for children while ensuring their safety and wellbeing in an outdoor environment.
No two days are the same – one day you might be building dens, exploring woodland habitats, and creating natural crafts, while the next you're supporting children around campfires, nature trails, and outdoor learning activities.
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Childcare Practitioner qualification (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
- Confident driver, willing to drive our forest vehicle
- Experience working with children in an early years, childcare, or educational setting
- Passion for outdoor learning and child-led play
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Level 3 Forest School qualification
- Experience delivering Forest School or outdoor education activities
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
