About the role
You’ll be delivering, collecting and servicing portable toilets and welfare units on construction sites. That means early starts (typically between 5-6am), physical work in all weathers, and yes — dealing with waste. It’s honest, hands-on work, and the drivers who stay with us for years are the ones who knew exactly what they were signing up for.
This role could suit candidates from a range of backgrounds including parcel delivery drivers, lorry drivers and supermarket pick and pack drivers. Driving a 3.5t vehicle should be a given, but we will train you on the rest.
You will be responsible for ensuring our welfare units are delivered and collected in a timely manner and that these units are cleaned and serviced weekly on our customers' sites.
A typical day:
Start at the depot approximately between 5:00-6:00 am, check your vehicle, if it is a delivery and collection shift you vehicle will already be loaded up and then you run your route. If you are servicing you will check and stock your vehicle. We cover Essex and Greater London (including Central London as well) , you will typically be back back by mid-afternoon most days. You’re on your own for much of the day — no one looking over your shoulder.
What we need:
- A clean driving license is preferred
- If you have a Class 2 license or CPC please advise as this may open other avenues for discussion and different roles
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor work — this is not a driving-only role
- Reliable and self-sufficient — customers on site will judge us by you
- No DD/Dr convictions
