Part-Time Waiting Staff – Italian Restaurant (Truro)
We are a well-established, family-run Italian restaurant that has proudly served Truro for over 36 years. We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic part-time waiter/waitress to join our friendly team.
This is initially a part-time position with shifts available throughout the week, including evenings and weekends. The role may be seasonal, although there is a strong possibility of it continuing beyond the season, with opportunities to progress into a permanent full-time position for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Providing friendly, professional table service.
- Taking food and drink orders.
- Serving wine and other beverages.
- Delivering food to tables.
- Preparing and serving desserts.
- Seating and welcoming customers.
- Setting and clearing tables.
- Refilling fridges and assisting with general front-of-house duties.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
- Helping create an excellent dining experience for every guest.
What we're looking for
Preferred (not essential):
- Around 2 years' experience in a waiting role.
- Around 1 year's experience serving wine.
You should be:
- Friendly, positive and professional.
- Able to work well as part of a team while also being confident working independently.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible with shifts.
Pay
Pay is in line with the current National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage:
- Ages 18–20: £10.85 per hour
- Ages 21 and over: £12.71 per hour
