Contact Attachments being the leading manufacturer of forklift truck attachments in the UK, is currently looking for a Dispatch/Production assistant to join our team based in Newtown.
This is a multi-skilled role where you will be working in a team of two to complete daily dispatching duties in the morning and assist production in the afternoons by cutting and drilling components ready for manufacture.
Main Duties
- Assembling, labelling, and wrapping attachments ready for dispatch.
- Quality & Stock control – Identifying and reporting issues to manager.
- Responsible for loading and un-loading deliveries, ensuing accurate completion of related paperwork (FLT Licence would be advantageous).
- Setting and operating horizontal bandsaws and pillar drills.
- Cutting and drilling components ensuring they are completed to the correct specifications.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment whilst working to company and Health & Safety rules and guidelines.
Requirements
- Good all-round practical skills.
- Forklift Licence (Training can be provided)
- Be able to work on own initiative & as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Experience in operating Bandsaws and Pillar drills.
- Be able to read and understand engineered drawings.
