Have you been working in a manufacturing production environment? Are you hands-on, reliable, and looking to build a career in manufacturing? We’re looking for a Production Operative to join our busy production team and play a key role in delivering high-quality finished products.
This role is based on a basic 40-hour working week of Monday to Thursday. The advertised hourly rate includes a £0.75 per hour shift allowance which covers the requirement to work two additional 10-hour Friday shifts at single time per month.

In 2017, the business was acquired by the Instarmac group plc, a privately owned manufacturing business, who are an award winning Times top 100 business who supply products to the Highway maintenance, Tiling, Commercial flooring and External hard landscaping markets to most continents across the world.
In 2021 major investment was made to the Aztec site in a new high speed filling line capable of up to 180 cans a minute, significantly increasing output capability to over 2.5 million cans per month. This combined with the support and investment the parent group can offer has improved production efficiencies, process improvement and ultimately customer experience.

About the Role
As a Production Operative, you’ll be involved in the full production process — from loading and filling cans to packing, palletising, and preparing finished goods for dispatch. You’ll work as part of a close-knit team to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Load cans onto conveyor belts accurately and efficiently
- Operate filling, valve, and spray head capper machines
- Pack finished cans into boxes following set guidelines
- Stack and organise boxes safely onto pallets
- Transport and wrap pallets to specification
- Move wrapped pallets to the finished goods area
- Minimise product and chemical waste, accurately recording rejects
- Monitor and maintain critical control points
- Assist with updating work instructions and procedures
- Carry out end-of-shift cleaning to maintain a tidy workspace
- Support stock handling and material movement
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet production targets
