Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and residents. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Shift patterns:
Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun 8am till 2pm.
Week 2 - Weds, Thurs, Fri 8am till 2pm.
Monthly Contracted hours-84 Hours
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, communal areas, and facilities, adhering to established standards.
- Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and amenities.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens and towels.
- Maintain a high level of customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.
- Follow health and safety regulations while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth operations within the establishment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping within a care home environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with residents, relatives and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic cooking skills would be an advantage but are not mandatory.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
