The Company
Fischer Future Heat UK Limited is a family-run business built on integrity, innovation, customer focus, responsibility, enrichment and excellence.
We believe in developing talented people from within our organisation. We are looking for ambitious individuals with the drive, determination and potential to become future leaders within our business.
If you are organised, motivated, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to build a long-term management career, we would love to hear from you.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to join our business as a Trainee Appointments Manager.
The role has been designed to develop the successful candidate into a future management position within our Appointments Team through a structured six-month probationary training programme.
Rather than moving immediately into management, you will spend your probation gaining a comprehensive understanding of every aspect of the Appointments Team. You will learn how the department operates, how appointments are generated and managed, how performance is measured, and how effective leadership contributes to the success of the wider business.
Throughout the programme you will progressively take on greater responsibility while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of a manager.
What You Will Learn
During your probationary training programme, you will develop an understanding of:
- Appointment coordination and scheduling
- Departmental processes and operational workflows
- Performance reporting and KPI management
- Planning and prioritisation
- Project and task management
- Work allocation and resource planning
- Customer journey and operational efficiency
- Leadership and people management fundamentals
- Coaching and supporting colleagues
- Decision making and problem solving
- Communication across multiple departments
- Continuous improvement and process development
What We Are Looking For
Previous management experience is not required.
We are looking for individuals with the attitude, work ethic and potential to become outstanding managers.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Excellent organisational skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence working with people
- Strong planning and prioritisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Reliability and consistency
- Professionalism and integrity
- A positive, "Can Do" attitude
- The ability to work under pressure in a busy, target-driven environment
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A willingness to learn and continuously improve
Your Responsibilities
Throughout the probationary period you will be expected to:
- Learn every aspect of the Appointments Team operation
- Develop a detailed understanding of departmental processes
- Meet and consistently exceed departmental performance targets
- Demonstrate excellent organisation and time management
- Build effective working relationships across the business
- Take ownership of your workload
- Demonstrate leadership qualities through your behaviours and decision making
- Show initiative and contribute to improving processes wherever possible
Assessment
Your six-month probation will form a continuous assessment of your suitability for a management role.
You will be assessed on areas including:
- Performance against targets
- Organisation and planning
- Communication skills
- Leadership potential
- Decision making
- Reliability and punctuality
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Professionalism
- Initiative
- Ability to motivate and support others

Progression
This is a permanent position subject to the successful completion of a six-month probationary training programme.
The objective of the programme is to prepare you for progression into a management position within the Appointments Team.
If, during the probationary period, you successfully demonstrate the knowledge, behaviours, leadership qualities and performance standards required of the role, you will progress into the Appointments Team management position.
Where the Company concludes that an individual has demonstrated excellent commitment, work ethic and operational capability but is not yet suitable for a management position, the Company may, at its sole discretion and subject to operational requirements, offer an alternative permanent role within the business, such as an Appointment Coordinator position or another suitable vacancy if one is available.
Where no suitable alternative vacancy exists, or where the required standards have not been achieved during probation, employment may be terminated in accordance with the Company's probationary process.
