Our client is looking for an Mechanical fitter to join their small team and help dismantling, rebuilding and refurbishment of pumps within the workshop and you will also be responsible for ensuring all inspection and assembly documentation is completed and procedures, policies and work instructions are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
- De-contamination of pump units prior to inspection
- Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition
- Assembly of pump sets
- Identification of spare parts required from drawings
- Compilation of findings into detailed inspection report
- Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions
- Electrical inspection of pumps
- Assembly of pumps
- Testing of pumps
- Diesel pumpset repair and maintenance
- Assisting within other departments when required
- Collecting/delivering of pumps/equipment if required
- Assisting on site jobs where required
- Flexible to carry out other reasonable requests by the Service Delivery Manager
Requirement
- Mechanical Fitting background
- Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or similar or timed served
- Overhead Crane, Lifting & slinging Operator Licence (ideally)
- Water Hygiene qualified (ideally)
- Full Clean Driving Licence
- Electric Motor & Control Equipment experience
- Previous experience of pumps & rotating equipment
- ATEX knowledge and experience
- Fault finding skills
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Forklift licenses
- Confined Space training
Benefits:
- Salary £35,000
- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break) Friday: 08:00 – 13:30
- 1.5 x overtime, 2 x Sunday for service
