Bishopton out of School Care are looking for a Manager or Lead Practitioner who has experience in working in a childcare role. The role may require you to work towards a relevant qualification if required. The role of Manager or Lead Practitioner is primarily to supervise staff as they engage children in a variety of planned and free play activities within the service. The role requires someone who is confident with managing staff and can take control of the overall day to day running of the service . Typical duties will include general supervision of both staff and children within the service. , ensuring day to day tasks are being complete to the highest standard. The role will entail managing staff rotas, stock rotation of both food and resources and ensuring Health and Care Standards are being met throughout all activities within the service. There will be duties of escorting children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons. Overseeing or helping prepare and provide healthy breakfast and afternoon snack within the service. You will be expected to contribute to planning, co ordinating and evaluating fun and stimulating activities for children to participate in. You will also be required to complete paperwork as directed by Care Inspectorate to ensure the service is properly managed, evaluated, developed and improved throughout each school year.

The role requires you to be registered or register with the SSSC. It would require someone who is committed to professional development by attending relevant training courses as directed by the Care Inspectorate and in conjunction with SSSC requirements. The hours of work are 7.30 - 9.00am and 2.30 - 6.15pm (Term Time) Additional hours will be required mid week and cover will be required during School holiday periods when we run our Holiday clubs.
All Candidates must have at least a level 3 SVQ qualification or be willing to work towards this with the long term goal of achieving management level desirable but not essential.
- The hourly rate for this position starts at £14.50 per hour. However this will be significantly increased to reflect the candidates experience and qualifications.
