We’re looking for a friendly and organised Veterinary Receptionist to join our growing team at St Kitts Vets in Hartley Wintney. This is a part-time position (23 hours per week), including a 1 in 4 weekend day rota.

St Kitts Vets is an RCVS-accredited, independent, family-run group of four small animal practices. We’ve built a loyal client base by focusing on excellent care for pets and their people. Our Hartley Wintney branch is a rewarding place to work, with a welcoming and supportive team that includes Receptionists, Vets, Registered Nurses, Student Nurses and Nursing Assistants.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our clients, you'll play a key role in shaping their experience. The position includes a mix of front desk and admin tasks such as:
- Greeting and supporting clients in person, by phone, and via email
- Booking appointments and managing the diary
- Registering new clients and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting the team with various other admin duties
The work is varied, and no two days are the same. It’s a busy environment that requires a cool head, a warm manner, and good attention to detail.
Shift pattern: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm - 7pm, Friday 8am-7pm and one weekend day shift 8.30am-4pm
Please note, that although this is a regular shift pattern, there may be occasions where flexibility is needed to cover holidays and sickness.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Can show empathy and professionalism when dealing with worried pet owners
- Works well under pressure and enjoys a fast-paced role
- Is confident juggling multiple tasks
- Has strong organisational and time-management skills
- Is a team player with great communication skills
- Is computer literate and comfortable using new systems
- Has a full UK driving license and access to a car (travel between clinics may be required)
